Hi Guys and Gals with a creative streak! I have just begun this story and I am looking for people who can continue this tale. It can be a paragraph or anything. Each person can add more to the story. So, lets see where this story takes us and how long this tale can actually get! Have fun!
It was a stormy night when Jane looked out of her attic window. Her rather crooked aunt, Bess, had locked her up in the room. Jane wondered about yet another miserable night in the attic and how terrible it would be to sleep on an empty stomach. She longed to break free from this misery and went towards the window hoping she would find a way to escape. The wind raged and tugged at the rather dowdy curtains put up on the attic window. Jane rushed there and threw it open. The rain splattered in through the opening and Jane thrust her face out to breathe in the cool and fresh air. As the lightening struck, Jane thought she saw something move inside the house on the hill, which was on the opposite side. She could not understand the image but she could see a rather ghostly figure moving about in one of the rooms and a faint trace of light. ‘Strange!’, thought Jane since no one was supposed to have occupied that house for many years. As the wind howled, it carried faint sounds of digging along with it from the same direction. Jane’s curiosity got the better of her and she forgot all about her pangs of hunger. She stretched out of the window and found a rather sturdy pipe to cling on to. Gingerly, she lifted herself and moved on to the ledge. Little by little, Jane edged her way downwards and clung on to the pipe till she reached the garden. Here, she heaved a sigh of relief and rushed towards the lane that led to the hill. Drenched in the rain, she approached the house, excited about her little adventure. The noise became louder and louder as Jane entered the lonely garden. The night was dark and she would barely find her way towards the window. As she approached it, and settled herself next to a rather prickly bush, she waited for the light to shine again through the window. Suddenly, she saw something ghostly move across the room…and Jane almost let out a scream of fright!
