The differnece between vintage, classic, and new movies.
It's amazing how movies have progressed over the years since the creation of the phonograph.
Vintage movies: Soundless, black and white, similarities in most of the characters in each one. Most protrayed a viral sense of humor, dramatic, but false romantics, and entirely all too acurate, but still somewhat overplaying war scenes. The special effects were often dismal: Wires being scene, glares on the glass...etc.
Classic Movies: Some still black and white, but the effects had progressed to a point where, it didn't look too cheesy but you could watch it without being like 'hey a wire!'. The characters had grown to brilliant works of true pretenses, no longer did they have a sense of just being the same, they now had voices, moods, and differences! Take Alfred Hitchcocks 'Phyco' now that was one of the best classics. Still is by my standards, but he created one of the best thrillers known to man. That shower scene just sticks in your head!
New Movies: Racist, sexist, byist, unrealistick, some disgustingly perverse, others surprisingly funny. Some just plane stupid, and most labled under the 'Why the hell would you watch this shit?' catagory. Most movies seem to set off a vibe that makes females seem only good for sex. Others have a raunchy kind of comedy that you can't help but laugh at. The romantics in movies these days are sometimes over romantic: man leaving woman, woman chasing after man, etc... I don't think I've seen a romantic movie where there had ever been a strong heroine, I mean unless you count 'Pride and Prejudice', or 'Jayne Ayre' Austin being the feminist that she was, always gave her heroine a good mind, and strong being. Ahh...the delighted futuristic movies...What the heck do some of these people think when they want to make one? Take 'Ayon Fleux' for example, what the heck was that? I mean I don't even know how you could describe something that totally lame. But some, I must shamefully admit are good. 'Six Sense', 'Black Christmas', 'Beowulf and Grendell', 'Lord of the Rings', 'Serenity', 'Interview with a vampire,' (I love you Anne Rice) and so on.
Everyone has their own preferences to movies, this is mine. I've never been one of the fan's that can watch a stupid movie 'Cat woman'=Stupid! My preferences range from classic, anime, comedy, horror, science fiction, and almost everything else. EXCEPT BROKE BACK MOUNTAIN!
